Η Τοπική Ακαδημία της Cisco (Cisco Networking Academy) προσφέρει εξειδικευμένη εκπαίδευση στους προπτυχιακούς και μεταπτυχιακούς
φοιτητές του Τομέα Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Δικτύων του Τμήματος Μηχανικών Πληροφορικής, Υπολογιστών και Τηλεπικοινωνιών (ΤΜΠΥΤ) του
Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου Ελλάδος (ΔΙΠΑΕ) στις δικτυακές τεχνολογίες της εταιρίας Cisco.<br>
Η εταιρία Cisco αποτελεί έναν από τους μεγαλύτερους κατασκευαστές δικτυακών συσκευών στον κόσμο και η πιστοποιημένη ικανότητα ρύθμισης και παραμετροποίησης των συσκευών αυτών αποτελεί σημαντικό επαγγελματικό εφόδιο για τους μελλοντικούς μηχανικούς δικτύων.
Οι φοιτητές εκπαιδεύονται σε κατάλληλο λογισμικό και υλικό το οποίο διαθέτει το Εργαστήριο Δικτύων Η/Υ του ΤΜΠΥΤ του Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου της Ελλάδος.
Οι φοιτητές αποκτούν όλες τις εξειδικευμένες γνώσεις οι οποίες μπορούν να τους οδηγήσουν στην απόκτηση της πιστοποίησης CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).

<p>The local Cisco Networking Academy at the Dept. of Information, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (ICT) of
the International Hellenic University (IHU) was founded in 2017, and is a part of the global network of
<a href=https://www.netacad.com>Cisco Networking Academies</a>.<br>
Our academy educates undergraduate and postgraduate students in subjects related to Information and Communications Technologies, through
a series of courses offered from the Telecommunications and Computer Networks Section of our Department. <br>
In advanced courses, students have the opportunity to gain experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting
Cisco networking devices. The educational process is supported both by network simulation tools (Packet Tracer, GNS3) and real
networking devices, available at the Computer Networks Lab of ICT.
<br>
At the end of the advanced courses, students are able to participate in certification exams to gain the popular <b>Cisco Certified Network
Associate (CCNA)</b> certification. In order to increase the preperation level of our CCNA candidates, the Academy organises multiple timed
<b>Exam Simulation</b> sessions, during which students have the opportunity to test their skills in an "exam-like" environment. These
sessions include supervised online multiple-choice, hands-on and network simulation tests.
